Yesterday they finished with the wheat harvest. There are still other crops to harvest, but wheat is the crop that is important to harvest at the optimum time. That is why they keep the combines going as many hours as conditions permit during the harvest - not even stopping to eat, so I send lunches out for Sam with one of the trucks. It always is a good feeling to know the wheat is out of the field and into the bins.
Now it is time to clean up the combines and put themaway until sunflowers, soybeans, and corn are ready.
