The month of April got off to a happy beginning as we watched General Conference from the comfort of our home and had family members come to share part of the Easter weekend with us.
We love having friends and family visit.

were here from Denver for a short visit
(Thursday evening to Sunday morning, March 29 to April 1)).
After spending Thursday in Salt Lake City with Kristine's parents
celebrating the birthdays of Kristine and her mother,
Scott and Kristine came to Spanish Fork to be with us
until Sunday morning.
It was nice to have them here and to watch
General Conference together on Saturday.
While Scott and Kristine were with us,
we also enjoyed having Jenna and her roommate come by,
and having Trent come Saturday evening
to watch the Priesthood session of conference with his dad and Grampa Sam.
Scott, Kristine, and Jenna returned to the Judds
in Salt Lake City Sunday morning
where they watched the morning session of General Conference
before returning to Denver.

We loved having family come share Easter dinner with us;
but, of course, we missed those who were with other family
or who live too far away to come.
I provided the ham (and corned beef brisket, which was a new addition to our menu);
others brought "funeral potatoes," salads, relishes, deviled eggs, rolls, and desserts.

we heard during General Conference.

I went to see with Beth, Megan, Amanda, and Rebecca.
The show began with distasteful music and dancing to our eyes and ears
and seemed to go on and on, and their friend had not come on stage yet.
We got up to leave.
Just then, everything changed and an aerial gymnastic production
referenced as "The Greatest Showman" filled the stage; and their talented friend was
in this part of the show. It was enjoyable and colorful.
We were glad we stayed.

to trim our fruit trees.
The cut branches were stamped down
to make room for the big pile
before hauling them behind our house
to be burned later.

We were disappointed to have trouble with our sewer pump following
the nice rains we had in March;
but, fortunately, it turned out to only be an electrical problem
that was fixed with the help of our good neighbor, Monty Bingham,
and didn't need to dig down very far to repair it.
