Family Fun in February

Before moving to Spanish Fork, we often traveled to visit family during the month of February when work on the farm was not as busy and before calving season started.  This year, we stayed home and had our Utah families come visit us and did not have to deal with weather and road conditions.

Doug and Shannon's family came for a visit.
They got here Sunday after church
and stayed until Monday evening, February 16-17.

Mason and Isaac thought it was fun they could walk
across the ice on top of the pool cover.
Grampa Sam and Jacob are by the pasture fence.

More family came on Monday and stayed for dinner that evening.

Jared likes maneuvering his remote cars.

Isaac has found a favorite game on the iPad.

Mason finds fun things in many places.

Rebecca is creative in the toy room.

I'm keeping the snacks replenished.

Sam is often a participant in the games, but here he is
watching the sports activities from the balcony.

Being together is the best part.

Wednesday, February 26, we enjoyed meeting Ryan and Tani and their friends at Milagros Mexican Restaurant in Orem and then going to the musical at the Hales Theater, Big River.  This was part of our Christmas present from Ryan and Tani's family.  They had also given us tickets to see Kiss and Tell, which we went to in January with Ryan and Tani.

Sam and I have been indexing, which is a volunteer service by our church to make historical records searchable.  This evening (February 27), we are helping youth from the Spanish ward learn how to do indexing.

The snow is all gone on our property and it has been raining gently today.  With the snow gone, Sam has discovered where the voles have messed up the lawn.

Our family has several birthdays in February.  We wish we could be close enough to celebrate with each one, but we are pleased to have Skype and phone visits with those away and visits in person whenever we can.

We will be thinking about Brent's family and Sam who will be wrestling at the State tournament February 28 and March 1 in Aberdeen, SD.
