Not doing something wrong.
Just doing so many other things that I forget what matters most.
A thousand little things compete for my attention.
Not just the phone. The errands. The work. The house.
But also the things I need to remember.
The things I’m worried about.
The things I’m trying to figure out.
And before I know it, the day is nearly over.
I haven't rejected Christ.
I’ve simply been too distracted to notice Him.
And maybe that’s one of the enemy’s quieter strategies.
Because temptation is easy to recognize. Distraction is not.
Temptation says, Choose something other than Christ.
Distraction says, Christ can wait.
And somehow, that can be just as effective.
Jesus doesn't usually demand hours of my day. Sometimes He asks for a moment.
A thought turned toward Him while I'm driving.
A whispered prayer in the middle of a difficult afternoon.
A scripture that comes to mind while I'm folding laundry.
A pause long enough to notice that He has been with me all along.
Maybe discipleship isn't only about resisting the things that pull me away from God.
Maybe it's also about learning to recognize the things that quietly keep me from turning toward Him.
Because I don't want to reach the end of my day and realize I gave my attention to everything—
except the One I love the most.
How are you handling life’s distractions today?
