With Beth and Marla - Library Visit and "Evening with Authors"

It was an enjoyable evening yesterday (October 14, 2026) with Marla and Beth at the Spanish Fork library.  Before going to the scheduled "evening with authors," we walked through the city library and liked being reminded of good books and authors we have liked.

Marla had to leave for a grandchild's event before the scheduled "evening with the authors" at the library started, but Beth and I enjoyed staying for that and hearing from the three authors:  Rebecca Connolly, Dana LeCheminant and Karen Thornell.  The theme for the evening's "Regency Tea Party" was "Timeless Romance Anthology: Harvest Ball."

Most who attended wore costumes representing that era,
which was optional; but we hadn't known about that
and were among the few who were not in costume.

I have read the following books by Rebecca Connolly:  "The Spinster and I (3 ***)", and "Secrets of a Spinster" (3 ***).  I have not read her 2023 book:  The Rules of Matchmaking, which has a Goodread's 4 stars.  I have not read any books by the other two authors.

While in the library, I checked out to read again "Edenbrooke" by Julianne Donaldson (I read it - October 2013 and gave it 5 *s).
