Going unnoticed at the game, since it occurred moments before kickoff and not broadcast by ABC or ESPN, was the game prayer offered by by BYU Assistant Athletic Director Marc Hill. His prayer was very gracious as he welcomed "our brothers in Christ" and he prayed for Pope Leo XIV as he battles lung cancer. Fierce rivals for three hours on the football field yet brothers and believers in Christ always.
